ACUF reports on Congress voting

Two Missouri Lawmakers Receive Awards for Conservative Voting Records

Alexandria, VA – The American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF), chaired by Matt Schlapp and host of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), has just released its 49th Edition of its annual Ratings of Congress. The ratings are designed to reflect how well lawmakers adhere to conservative principles.

In the 2019 session, two members of the Missouri congressional delegation received awards for earning scores of 80% or higher from ACUF:
  • Rep. Jason Smith (93%)
  • Rep. Sam Graves (81%)
Missouri’s other Republican members received the following scores: Rep. Billy Long (79%), Sen. Josh Hawley (77%), Rep. Vicky Hartzler (76%), Rep. Ann Wagner (75%), Sen. Roy Blunt (68%), and Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (62%).

Both of Missouri’s Democrat representatives, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (7%) and Rep. William “Lacy” Clay (4%), qualified for ACUF’s “Coalition of the Radical Left” for earning scores below 10%.

For the 2019 Ratings of Congress, 130 of 535 lawmakers received awards for conservative voting records of 80% or above. Compared to the 2018 session, House Republicans improved their average score (77% to 82%). The Pelosi-led House Democrats continued to push further left, falling 5 points (8% to 3%). Sen. Schumer earned a 0% while the Senate overall average fell (46% to 41%).

ACUF’s Center for Legislative Accountability analyzed every vote taken last session to produce this year’s scorecard which samples a wide array of issues relating to fiscal, tax, regulatory, education, environment, Second Amendment rights, election security, life, and government integrity. All lawmakers in America at the federal and state levels are scored on a 100-point scale.

YouTube censored viral video of doctors calling for end of quarantine

Interestingly, Erickson and Massihi spoke to Fox News host Laura Ingraham Monday evening just before the video was removed. After the interview, when Ingraham discovered the video had been taken down, she noted relevant comments regarding censorship that YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki had recently made.

"Anything that would go against World Health Organization recommendations would be a violation of our policy ... [removal] is another really important part of of our policy," Wojcicki reportedly said.
